Caroline Older is a strategic and collaborative consultant who engages teams, boards, and community partners to enable her clients to achieve their organizational goals. She brings 11 years of executive director experience and 20 years of fundraising experience in Chicago, the Midwest, and the East Coast to her consulting practice.  

Before joining TWB Fundraising, Caroline served as Executive Director of Chicago Artists Coalition and Managing Director of Development for the Chicago Humanities Festival.  

Committed to driving long-term financial, operational, and programmatic sustainability and growth, Caroline delivers actionable solutions tailored to her clients’ needs. Her nonprofit experience has led to deep skillsets in individual giving, major gift solicitation, comprehensive and capital campaigns, corporate and foundation giving, strategic planning, coaching, board development, and hiring. 

As a consultant, Caroline engages with organizations of all sizes, providing customized solutions to their fundraising, operational, and strategic needs. Her TWB services include campaign feasibility studies, campaign counsel, major gift program development, development and operations assessments, strategic planning, executive search, and board trainings. 

Caroline’s recent clients include Pillars Community Health, Children’s Discovery Museum, FACETS, Born Free USA, and Experimental Station. Additionally, she and TWB colleague, Amy Funk, are launching a Major Gift Coaching program that leverages predictive analytics from technology firm, boodleAI. 

Caroline holds a BA in Art History from Williams College and a PhD in the History of Art and Architecture from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
