Amy Blumenthal brings over 25 years of nonprofit development leadership in fundraising and planning roles to her clients. She is passionate about mentoring and coaching and believes that best-practice planning and strategy enable nonprofits to focus on mission-driven fundraising that leads to impactful and joyful giving.

Amy provides counsel in campaign planning and implementation, major gift program development, executive search, board development, fundraising coaching; and writing organizational and campaign case for support. Current and recent clients include Sojourner, Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, John Michael Kohler Arts Center, Oak Park Temple, Oakton College, and the College of Lake County.

Prior to joining TWB, Amy spent most of her career in higher education, managing a multi-year scholarship aid fundraising initiative at Marquette University, coordinating the strategy and implementation of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s first successful $100 million comprehensive campaign, and serving in frontline fundraising roles at the University of Virginia during a $1 billion capital campaign. She also ran the women’s campaign for the Milwaukee Jewish Federation, raising major gifts, managing a team of over forty campaign volunteers, and staffing the women’s board and the Jewish Women’s Endowment Fund.

Amy earned a bachelor’s degree from Smith College and an MA and MPhil from Yale University. She is a Certified Fundraising Executive and an active community volunteer, currently serving on the Board of Directors of AFP of Southeastern Wisconsin and as Co-Chair of the Mentorship and Scholarship Committee, as a past president and board member of Congregation Beth Israel Ner Tamid, and as an advisory board member of the Milwaukee Jewish Free Loan Association. Amy and her husband Ed live in Bayside, Wisconsin and have two adult daughters.
